The Banner Saga, Toren, Kyn, Armikrog Coming to PlayStation 4

If you haven’t been hiding under a rock for the last 2-3 years, you’ll have noticed that there’s an underground movement in the world of video games: indies.

Versus Evil is an indie publisher who has been lucky enough to partner with several talented, passionate indie studios to help them launch their “babies” into the big, wide, rabid world of gamers. Yes, that’s YOU lot! We are beyond excited to tell you about a few games that will be coming to the PS4 in early 2015. Each one is unique in its own right.

Armikrog

This is just a really weird way to make a game, but it works! From the original game creators of Earthworm Jim and the Neverhood, comes a point and click adventure…wait for it… stop motion clay animation video game (Try and say that 10 times quickly!).

Supported by a quirky but quite mesmerizing original soundtrack from Terry Taylor, Armikrog will throw you into a rich, colorful world packed with lovable oddball characters and a lot of toilet humor.

The Banner Saga

The quality bar has been set! With several awards already under its belt and a second chapter already in the works, this indie hit is making its way to PS4. If you like turn based strategy games or Vikings (or both) and appreciate stunning, old-school style 2D animation, this is definitely worth checking out. It’s a classic and one that has made a mark in video game history already.

Kyn

(Pronounced “Kin”) It’s hard to imagine that two guys from Holland put this tactical RPG together in just two years, by themselves! But they did, and it’s a big world of magic, colliding with Viking themes and hours upon hours of adventuring.

All I can say is: just be nice to the sheep.

Toren

From fledgling Brazilian indie studio Swordtales comes a dark fantasy adventure in which you have to guide a lonely child as she climbs the tower known as Toren. It’s a beautiful game with puzzles and treacherous enemies to defeat. Your inner “protective instincts” will certainly be played on as you help Moonchild survive the journey from baby to adolescent.

All four of these indies will be playable for the first time ever at PlayStation Experience in Las Vegas December 6th and 7th, so be one of the first to get hands on time with them at the Versus Evil booth — I3 and I4. That’s a capital “i” not a “l.”

TowerFall Dark World Expansion Coming Early 2015

It’s hard to believe that it’s been 8 months since TowerFall Ascension launched on PS4. I have to thank all of our wonderful fans on PlayStation — the community response has been fantastic.

Since launching TowerFall, we’ve had countless requests for new levels, characters, power-ups, and modes. A lot of your suggestions have been really valuable, and after I recovered from the game’s launch back in March, I began forming new ideas of my own. Slowly but surely, our plans for an expansion took shape. I’m excited to announce that the Dark World Expansion will hit PS4 in early 2015.

We want to call this an expansion rather than DLC, because it expands the game in every direction rather than providing small incremental additions. Approaching it this way allows us to tie all the new stuff together in a very cohesive manner. For you this means more playable archers, levels, modes, power-ups, variants, trials, and more.

Joining the roster we have the red archer, the Vainglorious Ghoul. As her appearance suggests, she captains an infamous ghost ship known as The Amaranth. The Amaranth, it turns out, is also one of four new level sets in the expansion. These new locations are spread across the Dark World, a twisted reality parallel to the TowerFall world you’re familiar with.

The final tower, Cataclysm, uses procedurally generated levels to make sure every match is unique and surprising.

And then we have the new power-ups, such as Trigger Arrows, which behave like remote mines. Stick them to walls or ceilings in clever positions, wait for the perfect moment, and detonate when your opponents least expect it.

Or the otherworldly Prism Arrows that lock your enemies in magical prisons so they have nowhere to hide. These are a few highlights from our work so far. We’re already having a blast playtesting these additions — they open doors to countless new ways to trick your friends, and countless, more hilarious outcomes. With so much excellent community feedback, we have a great handle on what players love about TowerFall, and see this as the perfect opportunity to push the game to its limits. I’ll be at PlayStation Experience in Vegas next month, taking all challengers as we demo the Dark World Expansion for attendees.

《大伙乐相伴》亚洲地区服务将于2015年3月底结束营运

非常感谢各位玩家朋友一直以来给予『大伙乐相伴』支持与照顾。

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia将于2015年3月31日(二)日本时间下午3点，结束于亚洲地区『大伙乐相伴』之营运服务。

「藉由增加PSN℠的好友拓展乐趣」－『大伙乐相伴』在此概念下展开营运服务。经由『大伙乐相伴』成立的PSN℠好友人数，全世界总计已经超过1,000万人。除此之外，本服务更让众多的PlayStation®用户实际体会到「有PSN℠好友的乐趣」，已完成阶段性重任。

自2012年11月29日开始提供亚洲地区的服务，由衷感谢各位玩家朋友的爱护。

随本服务即将终止，目前于PlayStation®Store销售中的代币亦将于2014年12月中旬终止贩卖。

此外，于服务终止前，2014年12月上旬将举行道具特价等的「优惠活动」。由于代币于服务结束后即无法使用，希望各位玩家朋友务必把握本次活动于服务提供期间使用代币，并请勿错过畅游『大伙乐相伴』的最后机会喔。
