How Will You Tell Your Story? Choose the Correct Path in Ash Of Gods... or Face the Consequences
How would you feel if every decision you made played a pivotal role in the survival of yourself and those around you? Sounds a little bit like real life, doesn’t it? In the upcoming narrative turn-based RPG Ash of Gods, that’s exactly what happens. Every playthrough of the game can be unique - as your choices affect how things turn out!
Today, Aurum Dust presents to you a new story trailer that illustrates how the once peaceful world of Terminum is uprooted as the ‘Great Reaping’ begins. It's the beginning of a story that you'll determine the path through, and the ending to.
In Ash of Gods, you become one of the brave few that band together to stop a plague of darkness and death that's sweeping the land. But beware, sacrifices must be made - as will harsh choices, and you will have to decide - who lives…or who dies. Will your story turn out how you want?
"Imagine a fairy tale, a book, or a movie in which you not only follow the adventures of your hero, but also open all its secret rooms, pulling all the skeletons out of everyone's closets, and discovering tales that were best untold, " says Ash of Gods' writer Sergey Malitsky.
"Not only can you save your heroes from unnecessary risks or undesirable actions, but your actions can likewise plunge them into danger and terrible twists of fate. This is a game in which you can play and live, but understand that your tale develops according to the laws of the real world. And this means that even if a happy ending is in sight, it is not guaranteed."
About Ash of Gods
Ash of Gods is a turn-based RPG featuring constantly evolving storytelling with risks that truly affect gameplay, along with an extensive online PvP mode. The game features a story based on the complexity and ambiguity of moral choice where any of the characters in game can die. Momentary benefits may cost a character a life, while sacrifice will make the walkthrough of one of following episodes easier. Ash of Gods features a mix of gorgeous art, lush music, tactical combat, and a powerful story that plays out via dialogue driven layer interaction. Depending upon a player's decisions, no two playthroughs of the game will be the same.
Developed and published by Aurum Dust, Ash of Gods is set to release in March 2018.

Hand-Illustrated Survival RPG 'Smoke and Sacrifice' Announced
Stunning, Hand-Illustrated Survival RPG 'Smoke and Sacrifice' Heading to PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2018
London-based independent studio, Solar Sail Games today announced that Smoke and Sacrifice, their beautiful, hand-animated story of motherhood and survival will be released on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2018. Set to be published by Curve Digital, players assume the role of Sachi, a young mother on a quest to discover the fate of her child. The game takes place in a darkly fantastical world where grotesque plantlife and animals roam and harsh societal customs rule. Taking cues from modern survival classics, Smoke and Sacrifice evolves the genre with its deeply personal story and complex ecosystem. Creatures forage, mate, breed and prey on one another, creating a living world. Only by taming the game’s wilds can Sachi hope to unravel the mystery at the heart of Smoke and Sacrifice.
“We’re thrilled to finally announce Smoke and Sacrifice after keeping the project to ourselves for so long. With both myself and Neil Millstone having produced games for major studios, Smoke and Sacrifice is an opportunity for us go back to our roots and create a genuinely intimate story in a compelling world,” said Tancred Dyke-Wells, Co-Founder of Solar Sail Games. “We wanted to combine a meaningful narrative with the challenges of survival gameplay. Discovering ways to influence this creepy, organic world to your advantage is key to pursuing your ultimate quest.”
“We’re really excited to be partnering with Solar Sail Games to publish Smoke and Sacrifice later this year,” said Simon Byron, Publishing Director at Curve Digital. “Neil and Tancred have done a remarkable job in bringing this world to life and evolving the survival gameplay that is resonating so deeply with players at this moment. We can’t wait to see how players react to this beautifully told story.”
Depicted in a beautiful, hand-painted style, Smoke and Sacrifice’s storybook visuals belie its brutal story of motherhood and survival. Sachi doesn’t just have to worry about the the game’s antagonists - the entire game world poses a threat. Players can alter the behaviour of plant and animal life but this may also limit the resources Sachi has to craft items from. The deadly smoke also poses unique challenges throughout the game, altering enemy as well as player behaviour. Smoke and Sacrifice will launch for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2018.

Downward Spiral: Horus Station Announced for PS4 and PC
High-Concept Sci-Fi Thriller Downward Spiral: Horus Station Descends on to PlayStation 4 and PC this SpringG
Independent game and technology studio, 3rd Eye Studios is releasing its zero-gravity space adventure, Downward Spiral: Horus Station, this Spring on PlayStation 4 and PC, with optional PlayStation VR, Oculus Touch, HTC Vive and Windows Mixed Reality support. Downward Spiral: Horus Station lures players through a lost vessel abandoned by its crew. Solving the mystery of the space station will take wits and ingenuity as you fight or avoid dangers unknown. Use the ship's maintenance hardware - like bolt throwers, rail guns, and arc welders to take out threats, solve puzzles and find the truth of why Horus Station has been left drifting in space.
Downward Spiral: Horus Station’s focus will be heavy on environmental storytelling, as the game features no dialogue or cinematics. Instead, players will have to piece together the plot through observation and interpretation as they navigate the derelict space station, accompanied by the electronic ambient soundtrack composed by platinum selling HIM frontman Ville Valo.
Additionally, 3rd Eye Studios is introducing an innovative control system that rethinks how movement works in zero-gravity. Rather than just float, players will have to push themselves off of the environment to propel themselves forward, or use tools just as they would in deep space.
The game also features a raft of options for how to experience it. Not only is it playable on both a regular screen and VR headset, the game is also playable in two player co-op, allowing players to explore the Horus Station’s deceptively immaculate, retro-futurist decor as an investigative duo. There’s also the option to entirely remove combat from the campaign for those who wish to soak up the story without enemies. In addition to Horus Station’s story campaign, there’s eight-player PvP and PvE multiplayer modes including Deathmatch, Horde and Survivor challenges.
“Inspired by 2001: A Space Odyssey, Twin Peaks, and There Will be Blood, Downward Spiral: Horus Station offers a thought-provoking piece of hard sci-fi set in deep space,” said Gregory Louden, Lead Designer of 3rd Eye Studios.
“Last year’s Downward Spiral: Prologue was our proof of concept. Now we’re almost ready to let players embark on a full-length adventure to discover the atmospheric Horus Station,” said Kari Koivistoinen, CEO of 3rd Eye Studios. “For those that wish to experience the game in VR, we’ve continued to develop our proprietary tech that mitigates VR motion sickness while allowing for a full range of movement. Movement is seamless, allowing players to engage in both thoughtful exploration and pulse-quickening combat.”
