The Banner Saga Coming to Consoles on January 12

Console Launch Date Announced for Award Winning Vudei Game, The Banner Saga

Stoic, an independent game development company and Versus Evil, one of the leading independent video game publishers, today announced that the epic Viking RPG strategy game The Banner Saga is coming to the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system and to the Xbox One via the ID@Xbox self-publishing program on Tuesday, January 12th, 2016.

The Banner Saga, which launched to much critical acclaim on both PC and mobile devices has received several awards and nominations, including winner of the 2014 Geekie Awards for “Best Video Game”, winner of 2014 Game Developers Choice: “Best Debut” award, finalist placement for “Excellence in Visual Arts” category at the Independent Game Festival, 3 BAFTA Award Nominations, and winner of Pocket Gamer’s 2015 Best Adventure/RPG Game and Best Android Game of the Year.

“We have been working on porting Banner Saga to consoles for some time” said John Watson, founder and technical director at Stoic. “Porting the game certainly presented technical challenges that we needed to overcome, and gave us an opportunity to redesign the user experience for console controllers. We have managed to merge the story and gameplay from Banner Saga with a refined controller interface to make it a very enjoyable console gaming experience.”

The Banner Saga is a single player driven Viking saga, where a player’s choice in travel, conversation and combat determines the outcome of their own personal story as well as the survival of an entire civilization. The game also features stunning 2D animation and art, a unique tactical combat system and a cast of unforgettable characters, all of which drive this epic journey forward. Players will enjoy a beautiful and haunting original score by Grammy nominated, two-time BAFTA winning composer Austin Wintory conducting The Dallas Winds orchestra, as well as a powerhouse trio of acclaimed YouTube sensations: Peter Hollens, Malukah and Taylor Davis.

“Launching the Banner Saga on next gen consoles is a huge step forward for Stoic and the brand” said Steve Escalante, general manager of Versus Evil. “With this latest achievement, the Stoic team is able to work on more platforms and reach more customers with its games and technology. Localized in French, German, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Italian languages, The Banner Saga was one of the earlier funding successes on Kickstarter, which originally launched in partnership with independent games publisher Versus Evil.

Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 4

'Minecraft: Story Mode - A Telltale Games Series' Episode 4 - A Block and a Hard Place

The episode will be available digitally worldwide starting Tuesday, December 22nd on PC and Mac from the Telltale Online Store, Steam, and other digital distribution services, on the PlayStation Network for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, on the Xbox Games Store for Xbox One and Xbox 360, for compatible iOS devices via the App Store, and for compatible Android-based devices via Google Play and the Amazon Appstore. The episode will also be available the same day for season pass disc owners via online update.

The season premiere is also now available on Windows 10 via the Windows Store for the first time. Additional episodes will be available in the coming weeks.

In Minecraft: Story Mode, playing as either a male or female hero named 'Jesse,' you'll embark on a perilous adventure across the Overworld, through the Nether, to the End, and beyond. You and your friends revere the legendary Order of the Stone: Warrior, Redstone Engineer, Griefer, and Architect; slayers of the Ender Dragon. While at EnderCon in hopes of meeting Gabriel the Warrior, Jesse's friends discover that something is wrong... something dreadful. Terror is unleashed, and you must set out on a quest to find The Order of the Stone if you are to save your world from oblivion.

In Episode Four, with the fearsome Wither Storm more dangerous than ever, Jesse, Reuben, and the crew discover there is one thing that can destroy the command block at the heart of the monster - but they'll need to brave the perils of the Farlands to find it. As uneasy allies and ailing friends threaten to tear the group apart, can they defeat the Wither Storm in their final battle? And what sacrifices must be made to succeed? Find out in Episode Four's epic 'Wither Storm Finale' that will turn the page on one chapter before adventures begin anew in the mysterious Episode Five launching in early 2016.

The season features Patton Oswalt as male Jesse, Catherine Taber as female Jesse, Brian Posehn, Ashley Johnson, Scott Porter, Martha Plimpton, Dave Fennoy, Corey Feldman, Billy West, John Hodgman, and Paul Reubens.

Funcom creating three new games, one of them Conan

Funcom and Conan Properties Enter New Partnership

"Between the years when the oceans drank Atlantis and the gleaming cities, and the years of the rise of the Sons of Aryas, there was an Age undreamed of, when shining kingdoms lay spread across the world like blue mantles beneath the stars."

Funcom is excited to announce that the company has entered into an agreement with Conan Properties, making it the preferred partner for all PC and console games based on the 'Conan the Barbarian' brand and the world of Hyboria. The two companies have already enjoyed a long and prosperous relationship, having successfully brought to market Funcom's critically acclaimed massively multiplayer online game 'Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures' back in 2008.

"We are tremendously excited to be strengthening our relationship with Conan Properties," said Funcom CEO Rui Casais. "'Conan the Barbarian' is undoubtedly one of the world's greatest and most recognizable fantasy heroes, and as game developers, working with such a character and being able to draw from the fantastically detailed world of Hyboria is nothing short of a dream come true."

As Funcom communicated earlier this year, the company will be announcing three new games in 2016. The first of these games will be based on the 'Conan the Barbarian' brand and will be announced to the public in January next year.

《东方红辉心》公开确定配信日及最新PV影像

　　PS4平台同人游戏《东方红辉心》公布了确定发售日期及最新PV宣传影像。以吸血鬼“蕾米莉亚·斯卡雷特”及其从者“十六夜咲夜”为主人公的动作RPG《东方红辉心》确定将于2016年2月10日配信，售价为2500日元(含税)。

　　将以1080p/60fps再现PC版的最高画质设定，PS4版较PC版变更点包括：游戏平衡性进行了细微调整，追加了3首乐曲，并修正了一部分剧情CG等。详情可以从宣传PV中了解一下，感兴趣的玩家不要错过。

　　现为游戏开发工作室 Mistwalker 代表，曾任职于 SQUARE 创造出《Final Fantasy》系列作的生父「坂口博信」随着 2016 新的一年到来，坂口提及了他正在进行一个全新的游戏企划。

　　他除了谈论到进入 2016 年，Mistwalker 推出的手机游戏《TERRA BATTLE》将会带来新的章节和松野泰己所设计的新故事之外，坂口在访问中也提到了一款样貌尚未明朗的全新作品，他将会一面继续开发《TERRA BATTLE》，一面平行准备新作的企划。未来将会为玩家们带来耳目一新的崭新世界观。

KAGA CREATE於 2015 年 12 月 31 日起宣佈解散

　　曾有多部遊戲代表作的 KAGA CREATE（加賀クリエイト）於 2016 年 1 月 5 日宣佈，該公司已於 2015 年 12 月 31 日結束營業，宣告解散，解散理由為該公司在目前以手機 APP 為主的遊戲市場中無法創造出足夠的成長動能。

　　KAGA CREATE 为负责电子部品的加贺电子 100% 子公司，从同集团旗下的加贺テック转出后专营游戏事业，曾于2015年推出《寒蝉鸣泣之时粹》（ひぐらしのなく顷に粋）（PS3 / PS Vita）及《咲-Saki-全国编》（PS Vita）等游戏，12 月 24 日发行的《魔女恋爱日记 Dragon×Caravan》（魔女こいにっきDragon× Caravan）（PS Vita）则成为该公司最后一部作品。

Playstation 2 Shadow Hearts《影之心》监督町田松三透露新作开发中

　　PS2 RPG《影之心》系列的监督町田松三在接受Geek Gamer采访时表示，他正在开发一个新“VIDEO GAME”，类型是RPG，关于这个游戏的细节他还不能公布。根据采访内容推断，这应该不是一个众筹项目。

　　在采访中町田表示目前并没有《影之心》系列高清重制的计划，而系列也没有第3代。IGN曾将《影之心2》评为2004年PS2最佳RPG，但在2005年的《影之心：来自新世界》推出之后，町田松三就淡出了玩家们的视野，PSP上的《武装之心》并不是成功的尝试。多年空白之后，新作到底会是什么样子呢?这让人非常好奇。此外，海外玩家对于《影之心2》登陆PS4似乎更有兴趣。
