中國佔有全球稀土元素蘊藏量的 3 成，但出口量最高時高達 97%，使得中國有了操作市場的空間，2010 年時，中國削減出口配額 40%，使得 2011 年上半年，稀土價格一時暴漲，如氧化鏑曾喊到了每噸 800 萬元人民幣的超高價。但這一切已經成為過眼雲煙，隨著在 WTO 敗訴，中國已解除稀土出口配額限制。

AUSTRALIAN-listed rare earths miner Lynas’s shares slumped today after reports China has removed restrictions on exports of the minerals.

Lynas (LYC) was down more than 8 per cent at 6.2 cents, in a broader Australian market that was off more than 1 per cent as fresh declines in oil prices sent energy stocks plummeting.
