《骑士精神:中世纪战争》研发商曝光新作《幻影:秘法战争》 用剑与魔法撕裂对手


  《骑士精神:中世纪战争》研发商 Torn Banner Studios 揭露旗下多人游戏新作《幻影:秘法战争(暂译:Mirage: Arcane Warfare)》,公开首部宣传影片。

  Torn Banner Studios 表示,在《幻影:秘法战争》中玩家可以运用强大的魔法或是用武器来撕裂敌人,游戏主要描述一个遭到内战破坏和平的幻想世界,手持武器与会运用魔法的人带来了暴力与死亡,他们在阿拉伯与波斯风味的沙漠世界、宫殿中展开了残酷的战斗。

  Torn Banner Studios 指出,《幻影:秘法战争》是讲求技术性的第一人称游戏,玩家可以用毁灭性的魔法与肉搏战来撕裂敌人,游戏中将有不同的六种职业包括刺客、法师等,玩家可以透过实验来找出最适合个人的战斗风格。

  研发团队在解说影片中指出,《幻影:秘法战争》仍保留《骑士精神:中世纪战争》中玩家热爱的用剑战斗内容,最重要的是它增加了魔法作战的层面,让作战变得更为动态,玩家可以在房间里用魔法攻击对方,然后跳到他们身后去攻击对方、躲避攻击等。

  《幻影:秘法战争》目前预定今年夏季左右会展开测试、今年上市。



   


   




Torn Banner Studios Reveals New Action Game Set in a World of Fantasy and Magic, Mirage: Arcane Warfare

Torn Banner Studios, the creators of the popular first-person medieval combat simulator Chivalry: Medieval Warfare are proud to finally reveal to their fans a first look at their upcoming magic and blood-soaked title, Mirage: Arcane Warfare. To introduce their newest IP Torn Banner has released a gameplay trailer. Additionally, the official website has launched offering more details about the game: MirageArcaneWarfare.com. The game will make its debut at GDC 2016 (San Francisco, March 14-18) – interested media can schedule a private meeting to learn more about the new game.

In Mirage: Arcane Warfare, the calm of a strange fantasy world is shattered by ruthless civil war. Warriors armed with steel and magic bring violence and death as they do battle across a fantastical Arabian and Persian-inspired setting of desert sands, market bazaars and grand palaces. Built using the powerful new capabilities of Unreal Engine 4, Mirage: Arcane Warfare presents visually stunning backdrops to some viscerally brutal multiplayer combat.

"Our last game Chivalry was about chopping off people’s heads with a sword. Mirage takes that core gameplay DNA and explodes with a range of new bloody, brutal combat possibilities thanks to the addition of powerful magic” said Steve Piggott, Torn Banner CEO and game designer on Mirage: Arcane Warfare. “Mixing in the elements of fantasy and magic allow us to add entirely new components and levels of complexity to that core team-based combat concept that we find so much fun to play.”

“Our artists have created a rich and unusual world in Mirage, full of colour, character and a unique setting that is so rarely explored in video games,” according to Torn Banner environment artist Lucas Annunziata. “Working with Unreal Engine 4 has not only helped us bring to life the exotic locales of Mirage, it also gives us the tools to make magic effects that dazzle and bloody gore that make us cringe.”

Slated for release on PC through Steam later this year, Mirage: Arcane Warfare will feature a range of diverse player classes each with their own unique weapon and skill sets, exotic fantasy locales, multiple multiplayer game modes including objective-based challenges, brutal gore and a host of other innovative new features. Currently in development, Torn Banner will roll out more information and progress about Mirage: Arcane Warfare in the coming months.

Torn Banner will have a private meeting room off site during GDC week on Wednesday, March 16 and Thursday, March 17. Interested media are invited to schedule a meeting to reserve a session with the team to learn more about Mirage: Arcane Warfare.

《无尽的任务》系列新作《无尽的任务 Next》取消开发


  游戏开发商 Daybreak Games 近日宣布,将取消新作《无尽的任务 Next(Ever Quest Next)》开发。

  《无尽的任务 Next》为《无尽的任务》系列新作,游戏围绕着一个重新构想的 Norrath 大陆,并加入新地图和场景,不过玩家依然可以找到过去《无尽的任务》系列作品的同伴、敌人和地名。
  Daybreak Games 近日表示,取消《无尽的任务 Next》开发是研发团队经过反复审查和考虑之后决定的,「在过去 20 年,我们从一股热情开始,而看着《无尽的任务》带给玩家娱乐、凝聚玩家,它塑造了我们自己的文化并让我大胆地在游戏中加入自己的想法和理念。 」

  官方进一步指出:「当初决定制作《无尽的任务 Next》时,我们是希望能在做带来革命性的东西,而我们也完成了惊人创举,但当我们将想法结合时,我们发现这并不有趣。 提到 Norrath 大陆时,玩家会用高标准来看待它,我们也是;因此在最后的审查中,我们不得不面对『《无尽的任务 Next》世界无法满足我们的期待』的这个事实。 」

In the case of EverQuest Next, we accomplished incredible feats that astonished industry insiders. Unfortunately, as we put together the pieces, we found that it wasn’t fun. We know you have high standards when it comes to Norrath and we do too. In final review, we had to face the fact that EverQuest Next would not meet the expectations we – and all of you – have for the worlds of Norrath.

The future of the EverQuest franchise as a whole is important to us here at Daybreak. EverQuest in all its forms is near and dear to our hearts. EverQuest and EverQuest II are going strong. Rest assured that our passion to grow the world of EverQuest remains undiminished.

Way of the Samurai 3 coming soon to Steam.

Hot on the heels of revealing that they will be bringing Way of the Samurai 3 to Steam, UK publisher Ghostlight has announced the release date for the hotly anticipated open-world samurai game. Way of the Samurai 3 will be released on Steam on the 23rd March, priced at just $19.99. Not only that, but there will be a 20% launch discount lasting until the 30th March.

This 20% discount will also apply to the DLC at launch, when Ghostlight will be offering the following DLC packs:

• Way of the Samurai 3 - Accessory Set: 27 exclusive accessories to create even more unique and outlandish characters.

• Way of the Samurai 3 - Head and Outfit Set: 1 exclusive Head and 10 exclusive outfits will help you create truly unique characters.

• Way of the Samurai 3 - Weapon Set: 40 exclusive weapon parts to create 9 unique swords and the ‘Arquebus’ spear.

Developed and published in Japan by Acquire and Spike Chunsoft, Way of the Samurai 3 is part of the million+ selling Way of the Samurai series. The series has seen sequels (and even a prequel) released on numerous consoles, including PSP, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

For this new version Ghostlight have added full mouse/keyboard and gamepad support, Steam achievements and a number of other user interface changes providing PC gamers with the best version of Way of the samurai 3 to date. Mages of Mystralia Revealed at Game Developers Conference

Borealys Games release a teaser trailer for Mages of Mystralia, a new action-adventure game set in a lively fantasy world in which you can design your own spells.

The story is being written by bestselling author Ed Greenwood, the author of hundreds of fantasy books and creator of the Forgotten Realms fantasy world for Dungeons and Dragons, a world which served as the setting for the classic Baldur’s Gate and Neverwinter Nights series of games. Dan Adelman, former head of all things indie for 9 years at Nintendo of America, and currently the business side of Axiom Verge and Chasm, is also deeply involved.

In Mages of Mystralia, you play as Zia, a young girl who discovers that she has been born with an innate ability to work magic. Unfortunately, magic has been banned by the Marquis, so Zia sets off to train on her own and learn control over her magic. On her journey, she encounters danger, but discovers mysterious magical runes—and soon realizes she can combine them in many different ways to craft completely new spells! But Mystralia is in peril; will she master enough magic in time?

Borealys Games is a new studio based in Montreal composed of industry veterans who have worked on games ranging from the Assassin’s Creed series through Far Cry to Prince of Persia: Sands of Time.

  《NightCry》开发商 NUDE MAKER 于近日释出新宣传影片,并预告游戏 PC 版即将于 3 月 29 日上市。

  《NightCry》是由《时钟塔》与《铁骑》开发商 NUDE MAKER「河野一二三」,以及《咒怨》知名电影导演「清水崇」连手开发恐怖游戏新作,故事描述搭乘豪华邮轮主角在欢乐的气氛中出发,原本以为是趟快乐的旅行,但没想到船内却发生了杀人事件,船上乘客开始猜疑彼此,而到了夜晚、船上还出现令人毛骨悚然的小孩哭声,旅客遭到陆续杀害, 到底谁是下一个牺牲者,而船上不知道哪里是安全的地方情况下,主角的选择又会是如何?

  游戏强调为继承《时钟塔》精神的后继作品,官方于近日释出新游戏影片,展示更多恐怖片段。

  PC《NightCry》预定于 3 月 29 日上市。

As the first PC version of the world-renowned RollerCoaster Tycoon franchise in more than a decade, RollerCoaster Tycoon World incorporates next-generation features to enhance the theme park simulation experience. Between an advanced coaster building system, an innovative approach to the management simulation, and native user-generated content (UGC) tools – RollerCoaster Tycoon World gives players complete freedom to create what they want while bringing advanced functionality that will allow players to experience RollerCoaster Tycoon in a completely fun, new way.

Fans can take part in Early Access starting Wednesday, March 30th by purchasing RollerCoaster Tycoon World through the official Steam page.

During the Early Access period, participants will help shape the final details of RollerCoaster Tycoon World and provide invaluable input as the title rolls to a full launch. Key Features available with the Early Access launch of RollerCoaster Tycoon World

• Genre-Redefining Coaster Builder: Spline-based, 3D track editor allows for the creation of the most creative freeform coasters imaginable. Easily manipulate the track to build the tamest to most puke-inducing coasters by creating loops, banks, corkscrews, inversions and more. Players have the power to test roller coasters before opening the ride to guests to ensure it meets the physics standards required to stay on the track, or the coaster might just jump the rails.

• Responsive Environments & Guests: Themed zones can be created throughout a player’s park, with various themed rides and objects affecting how much guests enjoy the experience. Sci-fi, Western, and Adventure are just a few themes that will impact not only ratings, but increase the area’s attractiveness to certain peeps.

• UGC Functionality: For the first time, modding capabilities are integrated directly into the game.   ATARI 宣布,旗下系列新作《仿真乐园:世界大亨(RollerCoaster Tycoon World)》今日正式在 Steam 平台展开抢先体验,游戏强调带来主题乐园仿真体验的特色,玩家不仅可体验先进的云霄飞车系统,同时还可以使用玩家内容工具等,来打造自己想要的乐园。

  《仿真乐园:世界大亨》为《仿真乐园》云霄飞车游戏系列续作,游戏中将加入全新元素,包含 3D 轨道、实际云霄飞车物理学等多项内容。 游戏中,玩家将可以与来自世界各地的朋友组队,形成一个主题乐园公司与其他玩家竞争;玩家还可以拜访朋友建立的乐园,体验他们创造出来的云霄飞车设施。

Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture coming to PC













Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture is coming to PC, developer The Chinese Room announced.

The Sony Interactive Entertainment-published first-person experience will have performance and accessibility upgrades on PC. You can push up to 60 frames per second on a good computer, and there are features like a crosshair option for people susceptible to motion sickness; visual assist for hearing-impaired players; and a “one button tilt” / simplified event-triggering feature for users with mobility issues.

A release date has yet to be announced.

Valve 释出 Steam VR 介绍影片 展现未来功能《Dota 2》VR 观战模式

  随着 HTC 与 Valve 合作研发、虚拟现实头戴式装置 HTC Vive 上市,Valve 也在专属的 Steam VR 页面公开功能展示影片,其中包含《Dota 2》VR 观战模式。

  Valve 公开的展示影片中描述,玩家可以藉由 HTC Vive 浏览自己 Steam 游戏列表,甚至可以透过 Game Theater 直接进入游戏游玩,未来还将推出更多功能,其中包括与《Dota 2》电子竞技运用相关的观战模式;正前方将是比赛画面,两侧则展现队伍选择的角色,并可观看其状态,而下方则显示地图,并可显示两支队伍的成长曲线。
