Guacamelee Developer DrinkBox Announces Gesture-Based Severed
墨西哥英雄大冒险工作室续作《Severed》公布


  《墨西哥英雄大冒险》的成功让DrinkBox工作室有了开发下一部作品的动力,日前他们公布了最新作品《Severed》,游戏是以切割为主题的,玩家可以看下敌人各种身体部位,并可以装备它们。

  游戏采用开放世界的设定,战斗则是第一人称,玩法类似iOS平台上的《无尽之剑》,而被砍下的敌人部位可以成为你的得力装备。由于游戏以触摸玩法为主,所以目前开发商确定该作会登陆手机平台,而此外他们还公布PSV、3DS和WiiU等支持触摸的平台版本也会陆续推出,之后还会尝试针对PS MOVE、Kinect和索尼的VR设备Project Morpheus等体感设备开发不同版本。

  官方放出了游戏的概念宣传片,本作预计于2015年推出。

   


Severed is the next game from DrinkBox Studios, the creators of Mutant Blobs Attack and Gucamelee! Severed follows a distraught warrior trying to piece together a mystery, such as how she wakes up missing part of her arm. You'll be exploring an open world, taking on enemies through gesture-based controls in first-person, and along your quest you'll gain new powers by severing and attaching your enemies' body parts to yourself.

The nonlinear aspect in this dungeon-crawler adventure will give you control over the upgrade paths, allowing you to take on a variety of enemies with different strengths and weaknesses. As the developers explained it to me, think Severed as a cross between Mega Man, Infinity Blade, and Mike Tyson's Punch-Out.

The trailer that you're seeing here exclusively on Destructoid shows a pretty great progression of the character that you'll be experience. You begin your adventure missing an arm, but as you defeat more and more bosses you will end up looking like a total badass.

The world you're in is completely opened from the start offering many different branching paths, and you're free to move about the world however you want. "The high-level structure is kind of like a Mega Man structure I would say," lead designer Greg Lesky told Destructoid. "You can go down one path, or you can try going down one path and if it's not really working you can go down a different path and try that path, get the new piece of armor or whatever it is from that path, and then try that first path again [as] you'll be more upgraded."

A more visceral experience than Mega Man though, seeing as you're wearing the dead flesh of your enemies in Severed. There's a big emphasis on exploration, and you'll want to revisit locations you've been to before after gaining new abilities as to access areas you couldn't before.

The game is all gesture-based, and with combat it was likened to that of Infinity Blade in that you'll be swiping to perform attacks. The Punch-Out element comes in on how all the enemies require different strategies, and that foes have different tells to make you aware of their incoming strikes or weaknesses. It'll be interesting how difficult combat will become, as enemies can surround you yet you can only be facing one direction at a time. There will be something in place to make you aware there's multiple enemies around you, and learning the tells of enemies will be key in these situations so you know who to strike at first.

Players will be able to use magic spells along with their physical attacks, and this system was compared to The Legend of Zelda. Magic will be usable in offense ways (such as blinding enemies), along with doubling as a tool for exploration (being able to unlock doors).  

Obviously this game is a touch-screen affair, so mobile platforms are a given, but the team is open to bring Severed to wherever makes sense. That includes the PlayStation Vita, 3DS, and even the Wii U. They're open to the idea of trying out stuff like the PlayStation Move, Kinect, and Project Morpheus as well. Severed is aiming for a 2015 release, so the team is still very early on in development and they need to see if bringing the game out to non-touch devices would be a good experience, however.

The team is hoping for a roughly eight-hour experience, but again DrinkBox is very much in early design phases with Severed, so anything can change from here 'til release next year. Regardless, I am floored for this game if it can live up to what the debut trailer is aiming for.

Oh, and if you're curious the music from the trailer is by the band Yamantaka // Sonic Titan. I bought their album immediately after hearing the featured song, "Crystal Fortress Over the Sea of Trees."

新作《机械狂奔》夏季登陆PC以及PS4和Vita

  独立开发工作室Spark Plug Games近日宣布了他们的新作《机械狂奔(MechRunner)》,并将于今年夏季登陆PC Steam,PS4和PSV平台。官方网站;https://www.kickstarter.com/proj ... hrunner?ref=kickspy

   


  这个开发工作室还和著名的概念艺术画师Josh Nizzi进行合作,他可是《复仇者联盟》,《钢铁侠》,《变形金刚》等电影的概念艺术画师。Spark Plug的副总裁兼艺术总监Ben Lichius说:“我认为我们有游戏史上细节最丰富,外表最酷炫的机甲。”另外,这部新作将在5月16日通过Kickstarter筹资为游戏增加额外内容,包括更精彩的boss战,更精细的等级设计,更多的剧情内容,聘请专业配音演员,为全平台优化等等。

《超级索尼子》将于4月18日免费配信新衣装

  角川游戏目前发售中的PS3游戏《超级索尼子》公布将于4月18日免费配信新衣装“赛跑索尼子”,玩家可以联网后下载升级数据便能获得这件新衣装了,而之前曾出现过的游戏画面表示问题也会在这次升级补丁中修正。玩家记得届时下载不要错过。

《我的世界》PS全平台零售版发售日确定

  靠《我的世界》赚疯了的Mojang工作室日前公布了PS3版《我的世界》零售版的具体发售日,该作终将于2014年5月14日登陆北美,5月16日登陆欧洲,同时Mojang也公布类游戏的封面。

  零售版中包含最新的TU14更新,其中包括绿宝石、末影箱和土豆等新MOD。根据Mojang工作室称,他们还在致力于PS4、PSV和XBOX ONE版的开发,但是这三个版本的游戏都将延迟,对此他们表示道歉。但至少在欧洲,PS4版和PSV版将很快到来,这两个版本的游戏也会推出零售版。

《无主之地传说|Tales from the Borderlands》将引进射击要素 诸多细节浮现



  曾经开发过《山姆和迈克斯|Sam and Max》和《行尸走肉|The Walking Dead》,《与狼同行|The Wolf Among Us》等冒险作品而名声大振的Telltale公司,最近正在全力进行着其下一部新作的开发工作,这就是玩家们期待的大作:《无主之地传说》(Tales from the Borderlands)。最近,包含全新《无主之地:前传》(Borderlands:The Pre-Sequel)相关内容在内的《无主之地|Borderlands》系列特集在OXM杂志最新号中得到了揭载,与《无主之地传说|Tales from the Borderlands》相关的大量具体细节浮出了水面。

  《无主之地传说|Tales from the Borderlands》是在原作《无主之地》的世界舞台基础上展开的新作冒险,本作采用小故事的形式,讲述了2个不同的主人公,江湖女骗子“菲奥娜”(Fiona)和海伯利安公司社员“瑞斯”(Rhys)的故事。玩家将以他们的视点为轴心体验在潘多拉世界中的残酷生活,与其他作品不同的是,本作的主人公们并不是英雄人物,他们都是拥有“贪欲”的普通小人物,游戏故事将聚焦于他们的幽默故事展开。

  1、正如前面所述,本作的故事将会围绕“菲奥娜”和“瑞斯”,并从其各自的视点分别展开物语。但事实上,Telltale公司当初曾想在游戏中导入5位玩家可选人物作为主人公。

  2、作为在游戏冒险开头部分登场的互动部分,在玩家眼前,将会有包口敞开,露出大量巨款的公文包存在。在其旁边是个看起来明显很粗暴的男人,横躺在那里。在这样的状况中,玩家需要选择是从公文包中拿走这些钱,还是帮助一下这个男人。在本作残酷的潘多拉世界中生存,“金钱”是很有必要的存在,它将作为重要的要素在故事中得到描绘。

《海扁王2 |Kick Ass 2 The Video Games》同名游戏宣传片

  由Freedom Factory Studios开发、UIG Entertainment负责发行的《海扁王2》同名电影官方改编游戏发布了全新宣传片。

  开发商将本作描述为“一款将展现直接取自电影和漫画原著的残忍终结技和特色场面的经典打斗游戏”。超杀女和星条旗上校等人也会登场,但目前看来只有海扁王是可操控角色。

  《海扁王2》将于2014年5月登陆PC、PS3和Xbox 360。

Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty pricing announced, release date coming before E3
《奇异世界:阿比逃亡记》重制版公布发售日


  日前Oddworld工作室公布旗下最新作《奇异世界:阿比逃亡记 高清重制版(Oddworld:New 'n' Tasty)》的发售日期和售价。

  游戏将于2014年6月9日在PS3、PS4、PSV、WiiU同时发售,售价为29.99美元,在PlayStaiton平台支持用户交叉购买。

  本作是《奇异世界:阿比逃亡记》的高清重制版,原名为《奇异世界:阿比逃亡记2(Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee 2)》后改名为《奇异世界:新鲜可口(Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty)》。游戏中主角阿比要熟练的运用跑、跳、攀爬、潜行、乘电梯等多种动作技巧,和凶残的格鲁贡人周旋。否则在敌人卫兵机枪的扫射和疯狗的猛追下,想活命是难上加难。

“20,000 Above” is a game set in a world of floating islands, far up in the sky. You are the captain of an airship with its crew, on a steampunk voyage across the seven skies. You’ll find your success through missions, trading, resource gathering or piracy.

Throughout the game you will find skyports where you can dock for supplies and upgrades. Here you will meet friendly as well as shady characters presenting you with their stories. Some of them may join you on your journey. As you learn more from your conversations, you gradually gain an understanding of how this strange world is held together, and how it came to be.

You choose your own name and portrait when creating your captain. Through your actions you will also to an extent define your character’s personality – be it charming or fearsome.

20,000 Above has simple click-to-move controls with a number of added abilities based on your ship and crew. Your journey begins high over the clouds, and from your vantage point you can see ships move and interact below. When you feel ready, you progress downwards to find new adventures and greater challenges.

Q. Is this game for me?

A. Of course! It will be an amazing adventure with exciting missions, fun gameplay and a beautiful game world. No matter if you are already a gamer or completely new to games we want to create something that you can enjoy.

Q. So what is it like?

A. We take a lot of inspiration from colorful worlds such as those created by Studio Ghibli (My Neighbor Totoro, Howl’s Moving Castle, Spirited Away), and want to create an adventure game in a similar style where you are the main character. If we should compare it to other games it is a bit like Baldur’s Gate meets Pirates!, with more steampunk airships.

Q. Is it a multiplayer online game?

A. No, at least not yet. We are focusing on making an fun single-player experience. If it’s successful we would love to expand it with multiplayer later. Making a multiplayer game can be pretty demanding on its own, and we would rather do one thing really well than try to do everything at once.

Q. It looks like it would be amazing on an tablet, will it be available on tablets?

A. Right now we’re making the game for PC and Mac, but tablets like the iPad could be an option later on. We’re keeping it in mind. Just like with single-player / multiplayer we want to focus on one thing at a time.

Q. Will it be free to play? What will it cost?

A. We want as many people as possible to play the game, and we don’t want anyone to feel that you need to pay extra money to get ahead. That’s why we have this idea to let people pay however little or much they want to get the entire game. We’ll see if we can make it work, but at least that’s the plan for now.

Q. Who made this game? How many people are you?

A. 20,000 Above is being created by a small indie team in Stockholm, Sweden. We’re three people working pretty much full time, with a handful others joining in to help us occasionally. We’re funding the development from our own pockets, without publisher involvement. We think that is a good thing, since it allows us to take our time and make creative decisions that are not just based on how much money we can make.

Q. When is it done? Is there a beta?

A. We’ll take the time we need to make it nice and polished, and it might be a while before it is completely done. However, we will have tests and beta versions available on the way for people to try out. You can sign up here!

Oh My Glob! Little Orbit and Cartoon Network Enterprises Announce New Adventure Time Video Game

What time is it? It’s time for an all-new Adventure Time video game! Little Orbit, alongside Cartoon Network Enterprises, announce the third installment in the mathematical Adventure Time video game franchise.

Adventure Time: The Secret of the Nameless Kingdom is slated to launch in November 2014 and will be developed by veteran game studio WayForward, which created the franchise’s first two titles. The game will introduce a classic top-down action adventure experience and puzzle-solving element to the franchise, reminiscent of early high fantasy console games.

“WayForward is the perfect studio to bring the third all-new Adventure Time video game to fans of the animated series,” said Matt Scott, CEO of Little Orbit. “Just like the Adventure Time television series, these video games have resonated strongly across all age groups and we’re thrilled to be publishing the latest installment of this beloved franchise.”

In Adventure Time: The Secret of the Nameless Kingdom, players take on the personas of both Finn and Jake as they navigate through the eponymous kingdom - a mysterious unexplored region in the Land of Ooo. They will discover hidden secrets by exploring all corners of a new kingdom created exclusively for the game and encounter never-seen-before characters and creatures.

“There is a huge amount of excitement and anticipation around this latest Adventure Time video game release with WayForward once again working closely alongside Cartoon Network and the Adventure Time team to develop the game,” said Pete Yoder, vice president of consumer products, North America for Cartoon Network Enterprises. “We’re confident that the action adventure and puzzle-solving elements to this game are a great fit for the brand and will provide an engaging experience to Adventure Time fans of all ages.”
