Star Wars: Battlefront is an upcoming video game in the Star Wars: Battlefront series, under development by DICE. The game was introduced at Electronic Arts' E3 press conference on June 9, 2013.While no release date has been announced, at EA's annual meeting of stockholders chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen indicated that the game would be released in the Q2/Q3 of 2015.

《星球大战：战争前线 2》将于2017年秋季推出

　　今天 EA CFO 布雷克·乔根森(Blake Jorgensen) 在最近举行的EA财务电话会议上透露，此前公布的游戏《星球大战：战争前线 2》将于明年秋季推出，他给出的原话是“从现在起的一年之内”，而当被问及这款新作的更多信息时，布雷克·乔根森是这样回答的：“我们正在十分认真努力地制作游戏，确保它是一部有深度和吸引力的作品。”

　　同时布雷克·乔根森还透露新作将会有一个更广阔也更美好的世界，而且会充分利用电影中的内容。

　　其实EA打算制作《星球大战：战争前线 2》也并不是一件奇怪的事，毕竟前作的销量已经达到了1400万份，EA看见这系列有着这么高的人气当然会趁热打铁推出新作了。

　　根据官方的公告《星球大战：战争前线 2》将会由DICE与Motive Studios 共同开发。而且《星球大战：战争前线 2》也不是唯一一款EA正在制作的游戏，《泰坦降临》开发商Respawn也在制作一款第三人称动作射击游戏，Dead Space 工作室也在另一款《星球大战》游戏，由《秘境探险》创意总监与编剧艾米·汉尼恩(Amy Hennig)负责此项目。

Star Wars Battlefront ~ Fight in space in new mode coming with Death Star DLC

Star Wars Battlefront: Death Star New Mode Details

Big announcements on the battlefront from Gamescom in Cologne, Germany this week. For the first time, we are taking Star Wars Battlefront to space in the latest expansion pack based on one of the most iconic weapons ever created – the Death Star. The new mode for the expansion pack shown at Gamescom is named Battle Station. This unique mode has players battling across 3 phases - each with a different objective.

In Phase 1 you’ll be flying X-wings and A-wings against TIE fighters and TIE interceptors in space! The main objective in this phase is for Rebels to destroy enough TIE fighters until their Y-wing support can come in to weaken the Star Destroyer’s defenses. Once vulnerable, Rebel starfighters can attack the weak spots in an effort to bring the Star Destroyer down. In an effort to help defend this key asset for the Empire, players along with AI ships will be set up to help defend the Star Destroyer.

Phase 2 will have players fighting inside this iconic space station among areas inspired by the classic trilogy. Rebel infantry will be tasked with extracting a priority droid from within the Death Star. Amidst the chaos of battle, you’ll be able to gain an advantage by taking up arms as our new heroes Bossk and Chewbacca!

And finally, in the culmination of the new mode, players head back into space where the Rebels need to end the battle once and for all - by blowing up the Death Star! Players can become the hero of the Rebellion, Luke Skywalker, in his Red-5 X-wing as they attempt to destroy the Empire’s ultimate weapon. But beware as Darth Vader has been dispatched to protect the Empire's asset in his TIE Advanced.

Other new content will also be coming to the Death Star expansion including new Star Cards and Blasters, in addition to the aforementioned Heroes, Bossk and Chewbacca. Make sure to check back for more details as the Death Star expansion will become fully operational in September.

《星际大战：战场前线》最新 DLC「死星」曝光宣传影片开放丘巴卡等角色

　　EA 今日在英国举办的 2016 星际大战庆典中，曝光旗下发行的动作射击游戏《星际大战：战场前线》（PC / PS4 / XboxOne）最新 DLC「死星（Death Star）」，预计开放波司克（Bossk）与丘巴卡（Chewbacca）等角色供玩家游玩。

　　据了解，这次的 DLC 将开放更多的地图，其中包括许多太空上的场景。除此之外也有全新的武器等内容等待玩家前来体验。本次更新预计在今年 9 月推出。

What’s next for Star Wars Battlefront this Summer

New Offline Mode Coming Next Week, with the Star Wars Battlefront Death Star Expansion Pack set to be Fully Operational in September

It’s been about six months since we first launched Star Wars Battlefront. We’ve expanded the game universe with free multiplayer maps, gave out Hoth-themed hero outfits, and called on Jabba the Hutt to hand out Hutt Contracts for powerful weapons. For expansion pack owners, we’ve taken you to the factories of Sullust in the Outer Rim and to the Cloud City of Bespin. Now it’s time to share something a bit different.

To get right to the point, we’ve been listening to your feedback and your desire for more offline modes. Today we’re excited to officially announce a new mode, Skirmish, for all Star Wars Battlefront players.

The new mode will be available starting July 20 and offers players the option to play offline against bots in a solo mission or with a friend using co-op split screen. (Console only) Skirmish can be played on a difficulty level of your choosing and across two modes, Walker Assault and Fighter Squadron. With multiple locations that span the galaxy, from the frozen planet of Hoth to the lava encrusted planet of Sullust, we hope Skirmish brings players a new way to enjoy Star Wars Battlefront.

If an offline mode isn’t for you, we have more free in-game events planned for the summer. Look forward to more Hutt Contracts for new weapons, log-in reward opportunities, and open trials to experience Bespin.

Then in September, Season Pass holders will receive our third digital expansion pack, Star Wars Battlefront Death Star. More new maps – on ground and in space – new weapons and Star Cards and two new heroes including one larger-than-life character we know you've been patiently waiting for. Not a Season Pass holder? Don’t worry, the expansion pack is available for separate purchase.

Experience new heroes, maps, mode, weapons, star cards and more in the new Bespin digital expansion. Join Lando Calrissian and Dengar in the Cloud City of Bespin. Take flight in a cloud car, journey through Cloud City, navigate carbon-freezing chambers, or hunt enemies with the X-8 Night Sniper and EE-4 blasters. This deal is getting better all the time.

The Star Wars Battlefront Bespin digital expansion arrives in June 2016 for Season Pass owners.

Star Wars Battlefront 'Bespin' DLC Key Art and Info
《星球大战：前线》新DLC“贝斯平星”将如期发售

　　EA旗下FPS大作《星球大战：前线》第二个付费DLC“贝斯平星(Bespin)”即将如期发售。持有季票的玩家将于6月21日开启此次云城之旅，两周后再正式向大众发售。同时EA也透露了一些关于扩展包的内部信息。

　　根据EA官网的最新消息：“在贝斯平星中，玩家将和两位新英雄是Lando Calrissian和Bounty Hunter 登加并肩作战。在这个星际大都市中，不但能看到AT-AT，还能与战机中队在天空翱翔，甚至还有机会进入碳冷冻室一探究竟。同时该扩展包还新增了两种新式武器。无论你喜欢短距离还是长距离战斗，云城都将带给你全新的体验。”

　　兰多和登加都将增添新特性和能力。同时，登加将成为使用中重霸DLT-19重型爆能枪的首位英雄。当然Lando 也是使用重型爆能枪的高手，但显然他最大的天赋是洞察先机以及“使用计策来对付敌人”。更多全新模式、武器、星球卡片和地图等信息即将呈现，敬请关注!

Bespin Key Art Reveal

Join legendary smuggler Lando Calrissian and cold-blooded bounty hunter Dengar in the Cloud City of Bespin. Take to the skies in the new cloud car vehicle and journey through Cloud City and the Administrator’s Palace. The Bespin digital expansion will feature two new blasters to add to your arsenal. No matter your preference of short or long range combat, there will be something new to try out in Cloud City. Hunt enemies within the Bioniip Laboratories or carbon-freezing chambers with the new X-8 Night Sniper and EE-4 blasters.

Lando and Dengar both feature new traits that will give them unique gameplay abilities. Dengar is a villain that thrives on being in a fight. He wields the DLT-19, which makes him the first Hero with a heavy blaster so far. Lando is very skilled with a blaster too, but his greatest talent comes from knowing the odds and using tricks against his enemies.

The Star Wars Battlefront Bespin digital expansion pack will be available to Season Pass owners two weeks early, starting June 21st.
