Playtonic Games today unveiled the E3 trailer for the highly anticipated upcoming 3D platforming adventure Yooka-Laylee and revealed it will showcase the game for the first time at E3 2016, from 14th to 16th June in Los Angeles.
Developed by Playtonic and published by Team17, Yooka-Laylee stars the charismatic new buddy duo Yooka and Laylee, who use an arsenal of special moves to explore – and expand – gorgeous 3D worlds filled with collectibles to discover, secrets to unlock and a cast of quirky characters to meet (or defeat). The game will be showcased, by appointment only, in the Concourse Hall room #8804.
Playtonic also announced today that Yooka-Laylee now has a firm release window of Q1 2017 on PC and consoles.
“We are really excited to release today the E3 trailer for Yooka-Laylee and confirm our presence in Los Angeles where we will showcase the game for the first time to the media and influencers,” said Gavin Price, Creative Director and MD of Playtonic.
“After a lot of soul searching and knowing through dialogue with our fans that they value quality and polish above all, we’ve made the difficult decision to lock the release of Yooka-Laylee to Q1 2017. While we felt confident we could ship the game in October as originally planned, the team has decided that it would like to add a few extra months’ polish to our schedule. Ultimately, this will allow us to release a better game to the thousands of fans who’ve supported us throughout development.
“We’re sure some will be disappointed by the prospect of a few extra months’ wait, however the Playtonic team is confident that we’ve made the right decision for the game and that you’ll be pleased with the results when the game arrives early next year.”

This will offer players a new level of freedom to explore its beautiful landscapes and cities and allow them to unravel mysteries and enigmas in ways never seen before in the saga.
Funcom to Release Conan Exile Into Early Access on September 13
Funcom, the independent developer and publisher of computer and console games, today announced that the company’s open-world survival game ‘Conan Exiles’ will enter into Early Access on September 13th, 2016. The company cut the ribbon to the official Steam page today, where Early Access will kick off, with full launch on PC and consoles to follow. The company also released the first ever trailer featuring pre-alpha gameplay footage, finally giving fans a glimpse at how the game looks in motion. The video is available in eight different languages.
“We’re very excited (and a bit nervous) about launching our first Early Access title,” said Funcom CEO Rui Casais. “The team wants to give the players the best possible experience, and while we are used to working on a game for several years before letting players in, this time around we will let players in just nine months after development started! As with any Early Access games, some features and content will be more finalized than others, and players will be able to help us focus on what’s important to them so that we can improve the game and flesh out content and systems before full launch.”
‘Conan Exiles’ will first become available as an Early Access title, meaning certain content and features will be more complete than others when first available. Over time Funcom will work with the community and players and focus on what is important to them when deciding what to improve, what new mechanics and content to add. Players can expect the game to improve significantly over the course of the Early Access period, on everything from graphics to content and systems.
Conan Exiles is an open-world survival game where players are cast into a barbaric wasteland where the weak are crushed and the strong survive. Here they must survive, build, and dominate on their own or in multiplayer on public and private servers. Players will get to explore a vast, seamless world full of dangers and rewards, and they must harvest resources to craft weapons, tools, and even buildings and entire settlements. The game features bloody, visceral combat and will see players clash in epic fights for domination of the barbaric lands. The game is set to enter Early Access on September 13th, 2016, with full launch on PC and consoles to follow.
Yesterday Funcom announced that the company will be working closely with NVIDIA to ensure cutting-edge graphics in ‘Conan Exiles’, and to co-promote the game through NVIDIA’s “The Way It’s Meant to Be Played” program. You can find the full press release on funcom.com.

Since we first announced Valley a couple months ago, many of you have been itching to see more jumping, swinging and life-giving action. The response has been incredible and we cannot wait to launch the game so you can all experience the L.E.A.F. suit’s amazing powers firsthand.
As our team at Blue Isle Studios gears up for the release, we thought we’d offer a deeper glimpse into some of Valley’s gameplay. Take a look at seven new minutes of footage and hold tight just a bit longer — you’ll be equipping your own L.E.A.F. suits later this summer!
As you’ll see in the video, intrepid players can do some truly incredible things as they seek to further uncover the mysteries of the valley: give life to dying trees and animals; leap the distance of an entire football field; swing through a Pathfinder training forest of ginormous trees; and even defend oneself against some mysterious enemies. These are just some of the many awesome things you’ll be able to do as you explore the ancient depths of the valley, all the while keeping both it and yourself alive.
Valley launches this summer on PS4. There’s so much to explore and discover, we hope you look forward to an amazing adventure to be had.

Neon lights, towering skyscrapers, and retro-futuristic style comes to Rocket League on June 20 with our largest update in the game’s history, “New Tokyo.”
The cyberpunk-inspired stadium was originally part of our “Rocket Labs” Playlist as “Underpass,” but it has now been made even better with streamlined gameplay and highly-detailed environments! NOTE: Neo Tokyo will also join the Competitive Playlist at release.
In addition to the new arena, the Neo Tokyo update also includes the following features that we’ve been previewing over the past month:
• The beginning of “Season 3” for Competitive Playlists, which resets all skill ratings and rewards last season’s players with exclusive Rocket Trails that reflect their highest achieved ranks
• An expanded Item drop system that adds…
- More than 20 “Rare” and “Very Rare” Item types for online, post-game drops
- An easy-to-use “Trade In” system that allows players to exchange multiple Items of one rarity type for an even rarer one.
- New “Painted” Items that offer different color variations on existing Garage favorites like Toppers and Wheels
- Special “Certified” Items that track specific in-game stats and increase in prestige the higher those stats go
• New Quick-Chat customization options that expand player choices for fast, in-game communication
• New Post-Game celebrations that spotlight the winning team and allow them to jump, spin, and boost their car to show off their accomplishments
• “Pillars,” a new experimental Arena that separates the field into three lanes via two massive walls in the middle of the stadium
• Eight new Trophies and Achievements on all three platforms [Blog Coming June 13]
• A new, in-game “Showroom” that allows players to view and purchase all previously-released and future premium DLC [Blog Coming June 15]
Following our Neo Tokyo update, we’ll also release two Neo Tokyo-inspired premium cars that will be available first to owners of Rocket League Collection’s Edition on June 24 in Europe and July 5 in North America.
Known as “Esper” and “Masamune,” the pair of futuristic vehicles will bring a fresh anime aesthetic to Rocket League‘s ever-growing collection of playable vehicles. They join the two previously-announced Battle-Cars, “Marauder” and “Aftershock,” as timed exclusives for the retail release. Each Battle-Car comes with decals and tires included.
All four DLC cars will be available for digital purchase worldwide on July 18 for USD $1.99 per car (or regional equivalent).
Video game publisher Rising Star Games today confirmed that it will bring Earth’s Dawn to PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft, this autumn. Developed by OneorEight and previously released in Japan under the name Earth Wars, Earth’s Dawn fuses frenetic side-scrolling action mechanics with RPG elements and a hard-edged manga aesthetic to deliver a deep and unique gameplay experience.
From the outset Earth’s Dawn gives gamers the freedom to enjoy the game their way – from creating their own character; customisation of skill trees to augment abilities best suited to play style; weapon and equipment crafting; alongside a unique narrative-driven branching mission system.
After decades of peace, the Earth was decimated by an invasion from an alien race known to humans as E.B.E. The E.B.E. moved across the planet, consuming anything in their path and proved impervious to existing weapons. Ahead of the impending annihilation a breakthrough was made - the E.B.E. was susceptible to damage by weaponry designed using its very own technology. The power to fight back was now in the hands of an elite fighting force.
Combat in Earth’s Dawn offers a huge amount of depth with a layered system that will appeal to both light and more hardened players. Basic attacks can easily be strung together to pull off combos, while tying these to the analogue stick will instigate launchers, aerials and sliding attacks. Timing a dash during a combo will extend its length and finisher moves will dispatch enemies with flair. Players are evaluated after battles and ranked according to expertise and skill, and may then use the points awarded to enhance and level up their hero.
Join the fight for Earth’s survival this autumn, when Earth’s Dawn launches digitally on PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and as a physical boxed version on PlayStation 4, with a PC version coming soon after.
