Star Wars Battlefront II reveal set for April 15

Electronic Arts will officially reveal Star Wars Battlefront II during “The Galaxywide Premiere of Star Wars Battlefront II” panel at Star Wars Celebration Orlando on April 15 at 11:30 a.m. PT / 2:30 p.m. ET / 7:30 p.m. UK, the company announced.

The panel will feature developers from DICE, Criterion, and Motive as they offer a glimpse at the game and debut the first trailer.

　　美商艺电（Electronics Arts，EA）释出《星际大战：战场前线 II》韩索罗 Season 宣传影片，年轻的韩索罗和千年鹰号成员将在 6 月 12 日后闯入凯瑟矿场。

　　《星际大战：战场前线 II》即将开放的新内容以先前最新上映的《星际大战》系列最新外传作品《星际大战外传：韩索罗》为题材的游戏内容「韩索罗 Season」。这次的内容中，玩家将来到凯瑟矿场。对于一个名走私者来说，在 12 秒差距内走完著名的凯瑟航道是一件壮举，而现在玩家将拜访这个恶名昭彰的星球。

　　《星际大战：战场前线 II》韩索罗 Season 于 6 月 12 日登场。

EA announces hero unlock pricing changes for Battlefront 2, lowered 75%
EA官方最终妥协《星际大战：战场前线 II》英雄降价

　　由 DICE 开发 EA负责发行的科幻射击游戏《星际大战：战场前线 II》即将于 11 月 17 日正式发售，不过自从游戏在 Origin 和 XBOX ONE 上展开先行体验测试以来，不少玩家就微游戏中的微交易产生了强烈的不满，并且这不满的情绪在Reddit论坛上不断发酵。最终EA官方不得不妥协，对于游戏中英雄的解锁所需点数进行了下调。

　　在游戏原本的价格下，玩家想要不充钱解锁出一名顶级英雄角色，需要花费至少40小时的时间，而对于氪金的玩家来说则是轻而易举的事情。这无疑会在游戏初期是的氪金玩家和非氪金玩家之间产生极大的差距，这也是引起众多玩家不满反对的关键点所在。

　　对此EA官方日前正式宣布，游戏中解锁各英雄角色的点数下调，“15000点数将可解锁卢克·天行者和达斯维达。帕尔帕庭皇帝、丘巴卡、莱亚公主需要10000点数;Iden需要5000点数。”看来EA还是很懂得“得民心者得天下”这一道理。

　　《星际大战：战场前线 II》将于 11 月 17 日登陆PS4、Xbox One 和 PC 平台，游戏自带官方中文。

Change will be a Constant in Star Wars Battlefront II

Since the start of the project, listening to fans has been important in making sure Star Wars™ Battlefront™ II is the very best experience for all of you. We’ve done this with the closed alpha, through the beta last month, and our Play First Trial. And we continue to make adjustments based on your feedback as the game launches worldwide this week. Listening, and providing choices in how you play, will always be our principle with Star Wars Battlefront II. We want to ensure the game is balanced and fun both today and for years into the future.

Making games great comes from regular tuning. As one example, today we’re making a substantial change based on what we’ve seen during the Play First trial. There’s been a lot of discussion around the amount of in-game credits (and time) it takes to unlock some of our heroes, especially Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader. Unlocking a hero is a great accomplishment in the game, something we want players to have fun earning. We used data from the beta to help set those levels, but it’s clear that more changes were needed.

So, we’re reducing the amount of credits needed to unlock the top heroes by 75%. Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader will now be available for 15,000 credits; Emperor Palpatine, Chewbacca, and Leia Organa for 10,000 credits; and Iden at 5,000 credits. Based on what we’ve seen in the trial, this amount will make earning these heroes an achievement, but one that will be accessible for all players.

It's a big change, and it’s one we can make quickly. It will be live today, with an update that is getting loaded into the game.

We’ve also been listening to how much you’re loving features in the game (Starfighter Assault, 40 player MP battles, Darth Maul lightsaber throws, etc.) as well as what you haven’t liked. We know some of our most passionate fans, including those in our subreddit, have voiced their opinions, and we hear you. We’re making the changes to the credit levels for unlocking heroes and we’re going to keep making changes to improve the game experience over time. We welcome the conversation.

　　EA 旗下 DICE、Motive Studios 与 Criterion Games 共同开发，预定 11 月 17 日推出的经典科幻电影改编动作射击游戏《星际大战：战场前线 II（Star Wars Battlefront II）》（ PS4 / Xbox One / PC ），在法国举办的 PlayStation 巴黎游戏周媒体发表会「PGW 2017 PlayStation Media Showcase」中释出上市宣传影片，为即将在 11 月 17 日的发售日热身。

　　上市宣传影片中现身了新电影「原力觉醒」登场的芮（Rey）、绝地大师尤达和西斯武士达斯·魔的对战、以及黑武士挥舞光剑的样貌。最后也现身了帝国军特种部队「炼狱小队」女性菁英士兵爱登‧瓦西欧，原创故事将描写帝国军的观点，体验介于电影六部曲到七部曲这 30 年间所发生的故事。

《星际大战：战场前线 II》单人战役预告正式公开

　　EA Dice官方公布了一段《星际大战：战场前线 II》的单人战役预告，短片中女主角 Iden Versio 在得知皇帝的死讯之后，开始向反抗军发起一系列报复行动，企图再次复兴帝国，一起来欣赏一下这段预告短片。

　　《星际大战：战场前线 II》的单人战役剧情紧承《星球大战：绝地归来》之后，玩家将扮演帝国特种部队Inferno Squad的指挥官Iden Versio，在帝国遭遇失败之后，女主角Iden准备为皇帝复仇，对反抗军进行反击。短片中Iden高呼：“我们已经奋斗终生，今天反抗军将会灭亡，帝国的时代来临了。”这一次也会通过她的视角来体验一下前所未见的太空史诗。

New Star Wars Battlefront II Story Trailer

A brand new trailer highlighting the single-player story of Star Wars Battlefront II has arrived. With the Emperor dead, can Commander Iden Versio and her allies turn the tide against an energized Rebellion?

Just in case you’re not familiar: Star Wars Battlefront II includes an original single player campaign set after Return of the Jedi. You’ll take on the role of Iden Versio, (played by Janina Gavankar), Commander of Imperial special forces unit Inferno Squad. Alongside her squadmates Del Meeko (T.J. Ramini) and Gideon Hask (Paul Blackthorne), Iden struggles to maintain order in a galaxy that seems to be crumbling all around her.

The new single player campaign in Star Wars Battlefront II is an original story set after the events of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. It's no secret that Iden Versio and Inferno Squad will be crossing paths with some of the galaxy's most renowned characters, but they'll also be encountering elements that are originally from other Star Wars stories. There are multiple mediums, comics, novels, television, films, games, and more, that tell new or unique stories that take place within the Star Wars universe. Star Wars Battlefront II helps enrich the universe by telling a previously untold story that is able to build upon what has already been established.

　　索尼互动娱乐亚洲（SIEA）宣布，将于 11 月 14 日随 EA 旗下 DICE 团队制作的 PS4 动作射击游戏《星际大战：战场前线 II（Star Wars Battlefront II）》同步在东南亚限量推出与特制 PS4 Pro 主机同捆的「PS4 Pro 星际大战：战场前线 II 限定版」，价格目前还未公布。

Star Wars Battlefront II PS4 bundles announced

Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced a range of PlayStation 4 bundles for North America and Europe featuring Star Wars Battlefront II.

Here are the details:

Limited Edition Star Wars Battlefront II PlayStation 4 Pro Bundle ($449.99 / $549.99 CAD) – November 14

Includes a customized Jet Black PlayStation 4 Pro system, matching DualShock 4 wireless controller, and a physical copy of the Star Wars Battlefront II Deluxe Edition.

—North American Box

The PlayStation 4 Pro system has a mirror finish and is decorated with the iconic Galactic Empire and Resistance emblems, as well as the emblem for the Inferno Squad, which is an elite Imperial task force featured in the single-player campaign.

—European Box

The DualShock 4 features different logos from Star Wars imprinted on the touchpad.

　　EA三大工作室，DICE主导开发的《星球大战：前线2》加入单机战役剧情，日前索尼为我们带来了该作的单机战役演示，我们知道帝国皇帝“帕尔帕廷”已经陨命，但这部链接《星球大战》电影剧情的游戏中“帕尔帕廷”却霸气“复活”，一起来了解下。

　　视频中女主角Iden是“地狱小队”领队与其军官父亲Garrick Versio正商讨帝国最新战斗计划，毕竟帝国已经濒临战败危险。这时帝国信徒机器人“红幽灵”带着“帕尔帕廷”的传信霸气登场，“帕尔帕廷”通过这种“借机复活”对帝国展开统治。

　　信徒机器人为“帕尔帕廷”的应急计划代理者，“帕尔帕廷”陨命后自动通过这种“借机复活”登场，非常碉堡。信徒机器人虽然为机器人，但拥有皇帝形象，其中视频的“红幽灵”还携带“帕尔帕廷”的意识（有点像漫威角色佐拉），“红幽灵”与“帕尔帕廷”合为同体。

　　虽然女主角Iden为帝国士兵，但随着剧情发展，其与小队搭档Del、Hask将发现帝国的症结以及“帕尔帕廷”的阴谋，主角团将作出人性化的举动，影响整个战局。

　　《星球大战：前线2》剧情联系多部《星球大战》电影涉及大量角色，游戏多人模式中还包括达斯摩尔、尤达大师、凯洛伦大量角色，正式版预定11月14日发售，PS4版支持PSVR游玩，敬请期待。

What the Messenger Tells Us About Star Wars Battlefront II

The death of the Emperor wasn’t the end of the Empire. While the fall of the nefarious leader sewed confusion among the ranks, the surviving officers of the Imperial navy still wield influence over vast fleets and powerful forces. But even from beyond the grave, the Emperor’s destructive control holds sway over the galaxy… not just over his enemies, but also over the servants who failed to protect his life.

Part of that vengeance is enacted by Messenger droids, one of which plays a key role in the single-player story of Star Wars Battlefront II.

Messengers are agents of the Contingency – the Emperor’s sinister plan put into effect in the event of his untimely demise. Outlined in Star Wars Shattered Empire and Star Wars Aftermath, the Contingency punishes Empire and Rebellion alike.

Messengers are foreboding droids. They bear the visage of the dead Palpatine, and some are equipped to enforce his will not just with words, but with violent action. Early in Star Wars Battlefront II, a Messenger tasks Iden and her father, Garrick Versio, with terrifying instructions. We don’t want to reveal much more about this critical sequence, but its pretty clear that Iden’s “unusual” mission will place her on a collision course with the last wishes of the fallen Emperor.

The Messenger is just one of many story connections to the broader Star Wars galaxy revealed in the new single-player campaign. You’ll be learning much more about Iden, her teammates Del and Hask, and many of your favorite Star Wars characters in Star Wars Battlefront II, launching November 17.

However, you won’t have to wait until then to go hands-on with the game. The Star Wars Battlefront II multiplayer beta is coming October 6 (or October 4 if you pre-order). Stay tuned for more news leading up to the game’s release.
