Hi people, i am actually studying on the business management course. Currently doing module 3 now, which is on the topic of business management & administration. And, i was stuck on the self assessment, questions asking about : How can a businessman retain "control" of a company? For what reason might he have to surrender control, and what possible dangers are there to him in doing so.

So far, from what i have been reading on the textbooks, and researching through website. i still could not find any details to this retain "control". i do not really understand what is a retain "control". Therefore, i was hoping to get an answer through here.

Do please help me, if there is people also, studying business management course. i would really appreciates your help. Thank you.

All the points you mentioned are the "IMPACTs AFTER HE SURRENDER CONTROL"

The question is that, IN WHAT SITUATION HE WILL SURRENDER CONTROL.


u have to understand ur question first then only gv answers which are relevant to it.

why

perhaps, it is ---->

inefficient works/planning in a company can leads to low productivity of works. as the orders given out by the higher management might be uncleared, or the staffs cannot understand. (as from what we understand, planning and forecasting have to be done in an early stage and every half a year? to make sure, the business is actually getting closer to their goals.) <- i might be wrong. LOL XD

lack of experience is actually depending on the staffs the company hired. during interview, they may tell lies about their knowledge on handling the equipment, which they know nothing about it.

staffing issue might be, staffs coming in late for work, leaving early for work.

hmm, but all this will also contributes on leading a businessman to surrender control? as in, the company might not be earning any profits, so who ever invest in this business, might even wants to sell their shares.

yep, i did. i have to, as it is all inside the module. i can understand all the types of business, but not the retaining part. reserve capital i am still ok with it. LOL

Business Administration vs Business Management
Business Admin = Process to organize the business/firm resources and people in order to achieve the objectives.
Business Management = Stressing the business skill to make an effective business leader.

How can a businessman (ie, manager) retain "control" of a company?
Definition of Control: following up on the progress of the plans in order to guarantee their ultimate success.
How?
1. Organizing / Effective Team - How can you define EFFECTIVE TEAM to lead the company?
2. Leadership / Efficient Leader to make sure the productivity - What kind of leader to make sure the productivity is excellent?
3. Management - What kind of management can you serve to ensure the quality of the outcomes? How?
4. Planning - What kind of strategies provided to navigate the business in the future?
5. 7P's Strategies / SWOT Analysis - To identify your company in order to stronghold / strengthen the company.

For what reason might he have to surrender control?
1. Inefficient works / planning
2. Low productivity of works.
3. Lack of experience
4. Staffing issue.
"Attack the WEAKNESS from SWOT Analysis and you will get your score "

What possible dangers are there to him in doing so.
Explain from the FAILURE from the point given above.

This is my opinions about your assignment. Hopefully my points can help you.
I can't guaranteed my points given to you are the right answer.
You may discuss with your lecturer for more infos.

During company start up, and during times of great risk and high expense, a company owner may find it neccessary to sell shares in company ownership to other people, so as to gain money needed to run the enterprise, and to lower personal risk.

As the company thrives, and as there are frictions between the different owners, others may want to get fid of the original owner.
