Divinity: Original Sin II Coming to Kickstarter

Larian Studios today announced its most ambitious RPG ever - Divinity: Original Sin II, the sequel to “Gamespot’s PC Game of the Year,” Divinity:Original Sin.

Eager to involve the RPG community as early as possible, Larian Studios will be returning to Kickstarter on August 26th.

Fans can now suggest which rewards they would like to see offered during the Kickstarter campaign by voting and offering feedback on divinityoriginalsin2.com.

A prototype of Divinity: Original Sin II will also be playable at PAX Prime, highlighting some of the game’s unique features!

In addition to being among the first to go hands-on with Larian Studio's upcoming RPG, attendees will have the chance to meet the developers and win (some very cool) prizes.

Update: We announced Divinity: Original Sin II barely one hour ago and the response has been amazing, but some people are wondering: why Kickstarter again?

Larian Studios Founder, Swen Vincke, took to his blog to explain. The uber-short version would be that "Divinity: Original Sin wouldn’t be the game it was without the input from our Kickstarter backers & Steam Early Access players. There were a lot of them and they pushed us forwards in directions we hadn’t anticipated when we started development."

　　《神谕：原罪》当初为战术回合制战斗的单人与多人合作角色扮演游戏，强调具备创新的合作交互方式、高度互动的游戏世界，无职业的角色发展、大量的选择与因果状态等设计。

　　Larian Studios 今日公开《神谕：原罪 2》形象图，同时宣布计划于美国时间 8 月 26 日在 KickStarter 启动《神谕：原罪 2》募资，今天起邀请玩家可以到《神谕：原罪 2》官网，研发团队希望听取有兴趣的玩家意见，看玩家想要在 KickStarter 募资方案中获得什么样的回馈内容。

　　Larian Studios 同时表示，《神谕：原罪 2》游戏原型计划将于 8 月底 PAX Prime 游戏展开放现场玩家试玩，届时玩家可以感受到一些游戏的独特特色。

Divinity: Original Sin 2 is Live on Kickstarter

The Divinity: Original Sin 2 Kickstarter campaign is live, unveiling some of the most highly requested additions to the series.

An epic RPG with turn-based combat, Divinity: Original Sin 2 can be played as both a single-player and multiplayer game for up to four players with both cooperative and competitive questing.

Switch seamlessly between cooperative and competitive play throughout the entire story. Work together with your companions as one, persuade NPCs to thwart your opponents, and beware of backstabbing allies. Or, put your own goals above that of the party, and plan the moment you’ll betray them all. It’s up to you.

With Divinity: Original Sin 2, Larian Studios aims to change the way we think about narrative in RPGs, creating a world in which your history and actions shape the story, and NPCs react differently to each character.

In addition to a powerful system of classless character development, your origins and deeds will shape NPCs’ behaviors and attitudes. Your race, birthplace, and greatest feats all play a role in your journey, but watch out, as a reputation as a Traitor or Swindler can be hard to shake.

Backers will have the opportunity claim Kickstarter-only rewards including multiplayer packs, a unique Kickstarter Collector’s Edition, custom artwork, and even a surprise pack that includes handpicked trinkets, mementos and other little things that inspired the team as they were developing the game. To ensure all backers can give feedback to the team, every backer at the $25 tier and higher will receive Alpha and Beta access!

《神谕》系列新作《神谕：原罪 2》不到 12 小时达成募资目标

　　游戏研发团队 Larian Studios 今日宣布，旗下《神谕(Divinity)》系列新作《神谕：原罪 2(暂译，Divinity: Original Sin II)》美国时间 8 月 26 日在募资网站 KickStarter 展开募资后，不到 12 小时就已经超越了原本设定的 50 万美元的基本目标。

　　Larian Studios 表示，虽然研发团队正忙于准备参加 PAX Prime 游戏展，但仍希望藉此机会感谢所有支持他们的玩家，「对于角色扮演游戏研发者像我们这样的人来说，这真的是梦想成真的时刻。 你们的支持让我们得以创造我们所深爱的深度、复杂的角色扮演体验。 我们非常非常感谢大家。 」



　　Larian Studios 表示，《神谕：原罪 2》是回合制战斗的角色扮演游戏，玩家可以体验单人或是最多四名玩家合作与竞争玩法的乐趣。 在整个游戏故事中，玩家可以与好友共同合作，说服 NPC 来协助阻止你的对手，并提防盟友的背后暗算，然而若是你把个人目标设定高于整个团队，也许你会面临背叛大家的时刻，如何做都决定在玩家身上。
